European Master in Food Studies

Three decades of shaping food professionals

In 1992, as the food industry was going global, a question took shape: how do you train food technologists who can thrive anywhere in the world?

The European Master in Food Studies welcomed its first cohort in 1995 and shortly after became a truly international programme - bringing together Europe's leading food-science universities and the multinational companies shaping the industry.

Three decades later, EMFS is a specialisation within the MSc Food Technology at Wageningen University & Research, and its graduates hold leading positions in food companies across the world.
