Important Dates:

  • May 1 – Closing date for applications for students who require a residence permit for the Netherlands
    • Please note that fellowship programmes may require an earlier application. Depending on your nationality and Master programme the fellowship application deadline can differ. We advise you to check www.grantfinder.nl for the latest information concerning the different fellowships.
  • July 1 – Closing date for applications for students from all other countries
  • The Team Building week starts one week prior to the start of the Academic Year, Wageningen University courses start in the first week of the September

September “Food Structure and Behaviour” academic modules begin at Wageningen
October to December Visits to food companies and presentations by company representatives

January “Consumer Studies and Management” academic modules begin at University College Cork in Cork, Ireland
February Presentations from various food companies at Cork campus. Anticipated presentations Tetra Pak, Mondelez, Nestlé and Firmenich

Speed dates with company representatives about 2nd year Thesis projects

March “Food Technology” academic modules begin at Agro Paris Tech in Massy, France
April Anticipated visits to Nestlé and Mondelez
May “Product Development and Innovation” academic modules begin at Lund University in Lund, Sweden
June Visit to Tetra Pak for company visit and sustainability workshop

Team Project Activities

The Team Project is one of the programme’s most substantial assignments, initiated and developed by students themselves over the course of the entire programme, in addition to other academic requirements.

Progress Meetings with Coaches:

  • Year 1: September (Wageningen), February (Cork), March (Massy), June (Lund)
  • Year 2: September, January and June (Wageningen)

Lecture on Quality Function Deployment: November of Year 1 (Wageningen)

Presentation of Team Project progress to the Board (i.e. representatives of partners in the programme)

  • Project Progress: June of Year 1 (Video conference)
